“Courtnee Hall and The Ruff Pup K9 Training have been one of the very best decisions we’ve made for Bailey.

Courtnee began training our English Cream Golden Retriever, Bailey, when she was just 8 weeks old—and now that Bailey is 9 months, the transformation is remarkable. From the very first sessions, Courtnee brought a calm, confident presence and a clear, supportive teaching style that helped both Bailey and me succeed. Her approach is positive, structured, and practical for real life—not just “perfect behavior” in a quiet living room.

The Six Week obedience gave Bailey an outstanding foundation and taught us how to communicate clearly and consistently. Courtnee walked us step-by-step through the core skills that every dog truly needs: sit, down, stay, come/recall, leave-it, drop-it, and polite leash manners. What I appreciated most was how the training built true reliability—Bailey didn’t just learn the commands, she learned self-control, focus, and how to hold a position until released.

The results show up everywhere. Bailey will literally stay put in a public library for an hour without moving until she hears her release or next command. She’s also wonderfully respectful around distractions: she can calmly pass other dogs on walks, remain composed around small children, and keep her manners even when kids want to rush up to say hello. We’ve also seen her quietly ignore squirrels and other animals and immediately respond to leave-it, which is such a gift for daily life.
